Paulina Gjetnes
MA, PGDip, PGCert, MNCPS (Acc.), UKCP Reg.
About
Paulina is a Gestalt Psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples, and groups. She holds a Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy, with a special focus on group work, and is registered with the UKCP and accredited by the NCPS. Her approach is informed by both trauma work and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Paulina has also worked in psychiatric settings, where she supported people in crisis and gained valuable experience with the impact of trauma and mental health challenges. This work also gave her the opportunity to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams — an experience that supports her openness to working alongside other professionals when needed.
Paulina works with people facing a wide range of emotional and relationship challenges — including feelings of anxiety or low mood, the effects of trauma, and the impact of mental health struggles or diagnoses. She also supports those who are exploring questions around identity, culture, belonging, and the unique experiences that can come with being neurodivergent particularly those with ADHD.
She also supports parents through the Young Families Project — a charity for families with children under five — offering a space to explore the challenges and changes that can come with early parenting and family life.
Learn more about the project here.
Approach
Paulina’s approach is based in Gestalt Therapy — a relational and integrative way of working that values connection, awareness, and making sense of your experience. She supports clients in exploring how past experiences may shape current feelings, relationships, and patterns of behaviour. Gestalt Therapy offers a space to gently explore these dynamics, creating room for healing, personal growth, and new possibilities.
Gestalt Therapy is rooted in humanistic values and draws on insights from neuroscience and body-based approaches. It supports not just emotional and mental understanding, but also awareness of how experiences live in the body — helping people feel more connected and whole.
While Gestalt Therapy is the foundation of Paulina’s work, her practice is also informed by attachment-based therapy, psychodynamic thinking, and sensorimotor approaches. These influences allow her to work in a collaborative and responsive way, guided by what feels most supportive for each person she works with.

Her depth of experience means that she is able to practice in a flexible way that works for you in order to help you reach your goals.
Chloe believes that the therapeutic relationship is a central component of successful therapy, and provides a warm, supportive, non-judgemental space to help you feel at ease.
